Mutual Funds
A mutual fund is a pool of
money in which investors buy
shares of the mutual fund
and the mutual fund managers
buy shares of stocks, or
bonds, or other investments.
The shareholders of the
mutual fund typically own a
part of all the stocks the
fund managers of purchased.
Mutual funds allow an
investor to broadly
diversify there money. For
example, instead of buying
the stock of one company, an
investor may buy shares of a
mutual fund resulting in
partial ownership of stocks
of over maybe fifty
companies. An investor in a
mutual fund can choose funds
that have stated investment
objectives for investing in
stocks of large companies,
small companies, foreign
companies, bonds of
companies, etc. Let us help
you determine a strategy
that is consistent with your
tolerance for risk and your
investment goals.
