Take steps to prevent further loss to your automobile:

  Attend to injured people

 

  Do not do anything that negates safety

 

  If the vehicle is drivable, make sure it is safe to drive...headlights, taillights, and turn signals function properly. If not, temporarily repair these items.

 

  Take the auto to a repair shop of your choice and get an estimate. In most circumstances, only one estimate is necessary.
